Geometry measured in the read phase only, Range reads capped per refresh (900), 12.5 Hz while the page moves and 2 Hz once still, indexed with collide Grid; consume writes 0/1 into the page's own Text node through the ledger (queued from a step, written in render; seeded bits). Budget 4 KB gzip: 3.8 KB measured with Grid (3.4 KB on the Grid before 0.4.1's hardening, which adds 379 B here). Browser tests: index, near/hit, consume, erase, no layout reads in step, rescan, host edit wins, byte-for-byte Recall, read cap, steady-state allocation, scroll.
