Fizlet 0.8.1

  • Layers story (site/demos/layers/, examples/layers/): a landing-page graphic. A Battlefield Blitz-style board plays, turns and fans out into eight DOM layers in CSS 3D (board grid, characters, movement, collision, rules, effects, input, HUD), each labelled with Blitz's measured bytes for that layer (layer manifest, Blitz c8c8ca4). The collision layer faults red, a scan patches it, it flashes green, and the stack folds back into the game. Built on the kernel (30 fps cap, settle), grid, sprite and fx; mounted through fizlet/slot. It wears the Board UI kit: kit tokens for every colour, the kit's arcade fire key, a .bui root (hosts load board-ui.css). After 3 cycles it rests on the game frame and settles; reduced motion keeps a CSS-only still exploded view with labels. Measured (Chromium 153, 4× CPU throttle): script per frame 0.9 ms median, 4.5 ms p95; live chunk 12,621 B gzip (over the 10 KB hero budget), poster 2,560 B; CLS 0; 0 frames once settled. New npm run test:layers (in CI): mounts, cycles once, settles, Recall is exact, reduced motion.
